CLI Installer

Install Void Host (CLI)

The Void CLI runs on the computer where your Minecraft servers live. It pairs with the Void website so you can manage instances from your browser.

Overview

Official installers download a verified release of the CLI and install the binary under your user profile (%USERPROFILE%\.void on Windows or ~/.void on Linux).

Requirements

  • A Void account (same SSO login you use on this website).
  • Windows: Windows 10 or later, 64-bit, PowerShell 5.1+.
  • Linux: x86_64 or ARM64; curl installed.
  • Outbound HTTPS internet access for binary download.

Windows

Open PowerShell and run:

PowerShell
iwr "https://get.void.borgov.dev/install.ps1" -useb | iex

After installation, open a new terminal and run voidmc.

Linux

In a bash terminal, run:

Bash
curl -fsSL https://get.void.borgov.dev/install.sh | bash

Installs to ~/.void/voidmc and updates your PATH.

After install

  1. Start the CLI daemon by running voidmc.
  2. In your browser, sign in to Void and open your Dashboard.
  3. Your machine appears as an active node ready to provision servers.

Troubleshooting

  • Command not found: Open a new terminal so your updated PATH environment is reloaded.
  • Download or TLS error: Verify internet access and check that outbound connections are allowed by your firewall.
